FF14 is a vast MMO that requires players to have ample Gil in order to enjoy its content, from gear upgrades post patch updates to confidently taking on high-level raids. Possessing enough Gil allows players to progress in the game.
Thankfully, the game provides many ways to earn FFXIV Gil – from quests and guildleves, dungeons and Duty Roulette challenges to crafting items and selling them directly or on the Market Board.
Retainer Ventures
Retainers are an essential way of earning Gil in A Realm Reborn, yet can often go overlooked. While they may seem like an unnecessary NPC tool at first, once leveled to maximum capacity they become an important source of income.
Retainers can engage in many ventures, acquiring items and experience. What they acquire depends on their class and level; those at higher levels have access to more lucrative goods.
Players can select procurement ventures available in the retainer interface using mog coins or kupo nuts as payment, lasting an hour in duration and awarding multiple of the item, along with experience points and some FFXIV Gil. Furthermore, Quick Explorations may yield rare items or endgame gear.
Treasure Maps
Gil is used in Final Fantasy 14 to purchase equipment and mounts. Players can earn Gil through questing, guildleves, FATEs, dungeons and the Market Board.
One of the easiest and fastest ways to earn buy ffxiv gil is with treasure maps, which consist of clues leading to hidden chests filled with rare equipment. Players can also make Gil by selling items through NPCs or on the Market Board.
The first treasure map can be found in Cotorra Springs, east of the dividing line between E and W Grizzlies in Ambarino. A second is a unique shotgun belonging to an eccentric hermit living northwest of Annesburg who can only be taken down through violence or an assault at gunpoint.
FATEs
Players can earn Gil in various ways such as through FATEs, guildleves, dungeons, duty roulettes, selling to NPCs or the market board or buying it at Tub & Crown tavern in Mor Dhona and spending it on consumables, equipment or Materia.
Crafting is one of the best methods of earning FFXIV Gil and is especially lucrative during new patches when new items, nodes and recipes become available. Unfortunately, however, crafting requires an investment of gear in order to be profitable.
Selling Gil is highly discouraged as this could result in bans and account suspensions as well as potentially harming the game economy. Players should instead focus on using legal means for accruing Gil in Final Fantasy 14. These methods offer sustainable and dependable ways of amassing Gil.
Guildleves
Guildleves are repeatable quests that offer rewards in terms of both Gil and XP. As a major source of income in the game, Guildleves provide players with an additional way to level up classes and jobs while purchasing items from Market Board and purchasing rare equipment like mounts and glamours.
There are four categories of leves: regional, faction, local and Grand Company. To engage in regional or faction leves requires traveling outside the city-state walls in search of monsters; local leves involve synthesizing materials; while Grand Company leves are limited only to full members of Eorzea’s Grand Companies.
Leves can be taken up at a levemete, and remain available until completed or the player runs out of allowance. Each completed leve will use up one allowance, while repeated attempts will use up additional ones.
Dungeons
Purchases of Gil may seem alluring, but it’s important to keep in mind that their use can have detrimental consequences on the community. By injecting unearned currency into the game economy, illicit sales could potentially cause inflation, distort pricing structures and detract from legitimate players’ experience.
Gaining FFXIV Gil is easy in the game; enemies and treasure chests shot from any stage reward players with it; quests and guildleves provide more gil, while duty roulettes and challenge log entries offer another source.
Once your crafters have reached level 10, buying gear and weapons can also be an excellent source of gil. Dyes are available from market areas, while Dark Matter can be used to repair gear without needing an NPC Mender to do the repairs; additionally it will double its durability!
